Efficient administration of multi media information
A media asset represents unstructured multi media information such as images, documents, audio and video data enriched by structured meta data. Thus, unstructured information can be administered efficiently in respect of categories, reusability and search. Meta data contain information about content, author, copyrights and time of creation of the document.

Imperia media asset management is completely workflow based and therefore flexible to be adapted to corporate structures. Production, categorisation, indexation and supply of multi media information will be accelerated including a high degree of reusability. Version control, search and filtering provide further comfort.
The user guidance is browser based. A decentralised and platform independent usage is guaranteed. Modern technologies such as AJAX allow an intuitive and easy handling. Individual media asset access control is being implemented via the Imperia user and rights management. Each user may access media assets released for him only.

Asset administration is organised treewise. Trees consist of classes which contain individual assets. Those classes, dependant on the selected view, show the asset characteristics in a different way. Image objects are shown as thumbnails and can be changed by using functionalities such as cropping, size and saturation.
Each asset can be complemented by any meta data for reasons of search and filtering.
